Hey Roydon, I'm very sorry that you missed members of our club at Cruisin Grand. Several of us drive their cars almost every week. This might have been an evening where no one attended or perhaps you might have missed us. It is a large event and we have parking spaces on the outskirts where those of us who attend park. You missed the evening where we were the featured marque which was in late May. We had 16 Panteras there that evening and we served a pizza dinner, salad and drinks to all Pantera people in attendance. It was a great evening and we shared our own street with the Shelby Club! Please let us know the next time you are in town and I will look forward to meeting you! I went to the Escondido Cruisin' Grand car show this evening. Although there were lots of super nice cars at the show, I did not see any Panteras or Pantera people there. I was hoping to chat with some of you San Diegans... maybe next time. Roydon

6643 May have the tiny screws through the felts, but the early cars just have a metal tab that folds under the upper door shell. Kinda cheesy. Oil Temperatures - Placement of gauges

Here is the photo, hope it posts to the forum. I put the oil temperature gauge on the right side of the water temperature gauge. It is interesting how the temperatures follow each other up to a point. Oil Temperatures - Placement of gauges

As a related post to the Oil Temp discussion, has anybody mounted Oil temp and Fuel Pressure gauges on the front of the engine such that they can be quickly viewed through the rear view mirror? If so, please post a few pics of how and where you mounted them and which gauges do or do not stand up to the heat in that area. Oil Temperatures

Just wanted to thank everyone for their input on oil temperatures. The List and the participants are unique and indispensable, in my book. The thoughts and ideas are just great. In my case, the first thing I need is an oil temp gauge to see if it’s even an issue - so logical. I judge from my driving habits (old-man-style driving) I may not have to worry about it. But I do. I guess it’s a “Pantera-thing” to drive down the road in “readiness” for the next issue, because it WILL be there - Just a matter of time. "Upgrading Unlimited” - I love it. I get so “educated by The List. It’s like asking the workshop manual questions, and getting answers. #4348

Door Trim Removal

I’m beginning to remove trim from 6643 and prepping for paint. I’ve removed the outside chrome/stainless strip at the top of the door/bottom of the glass years ago but don’t remember any particulars. It’s the one that runs the length of the door. I recall that it’s a press fit and just clamps to the door metal but can’t remember if it’s actually secured in any way… like through the window whiskers.
