Electric mirrors?

Guys, Lots of 80s Panteras were modified with the fitment of 'aero' mirrors that attach to the glass. These mirrors were sourced from the 80's Plymouth Champ Custom/Dodge Colt/Mitsubishi something-or-other. Some of these mirrors were electrically adjustable. A friend in France has a '71 Pantera he sourced from the US that has these mirrors installed, but the electrical function was never implemented. He would like to get the controls needed to actuate them. He has tried several different switches, but the design (one motor with a clutch) is very specific so it's difficult/impossible to get them working with most switches. I would help if I could, but I can't. Get the shop manual (be sure it covers the electric system) for the source car. Then you can figure out how to do the mirrors. First try the main public library, libraries have factory manuals going back many years. Making car manufacturer's manuals available to public libraries is required by U.S. law, IIRC. The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing. Do the best you can with what your have where you are. Eat dessert first, life is uncertain. Have fun today. I was a Saturday Caffeine and Gasoline at Griot's Garage in Tacoma. The guy was going around the show offering to shoot folks cars an put the show boards together. One of our other Panteras Northwest members was there and recommended him. He came up to me, said he had time for one more shoot, and had always wanted to do a Pantera, but never had, so he cut me deal. I think this will be a 16"x24" metal sign, or whatever the typical size is, plus he did a photo shop of the car sitting on the grass with Mt. Rainier in the background as a wall hanging. This was a copy of the final proof, so I don't have the actual sign yet. Blood Pressure

The other day my Dr. was amazed at my check up results ... blood pressure checked right at the normal level. It wasn't until later at home that realized, it was due to a calm, peaceful forum. One that I can now truly enjoy!! Modern headlamps are much brighter and whiter than in the past, but sometimes brighter isn't necessarily better. Although blinding beams are useful on a deserted backroad, they can dazzle other drivers around town. In an attempt to solve the problem, Daimler has developed a new smart pixel system, able to more precisely mold its beam than existing adaptive headlights. Although current adaptive high-beam systems work reasonably well, their effectiveness is limited by packaging constraints. When sensors detect another car and driver that's about to be dazzled, they turn off (or dim) individual lighting units within the headlight array to create a gap in the beam. That means that, along with the LED units themselves, the headlamp needs to house extra electrical components to operate the adaptive beam. With so little space to work with at the front of cars, this limits the number of individual LEDs that can be packed in, which in turn limits the overall brightness of the car's headlights. Smart pixel headlamps work around this by packing 1,024 individual, controllable pixels into one "chip." Along with the little pixels, each chip includes all the hardware to control them, making them more space efficient than the current standard. Along with their space efficiency, and because the smart pixel LEDs have so many individually-adjustable light outputs, their beam can be controlled much more precisely. That means better molding of the dark spot around oncoming cars, and the ability to mimic mechanical "corner lighting" systems, which can illuminate the inside of a bend by turning the headlights with motors. At the moment this technology is in its infancy, but Daimler and partners are currently working to get it ready for future series production. Yes, what I meant was that LED efficiency is not likely to drop by a factor of several times.
