[DeTomaso] ??dome light has “zipcord” wiring??

A fellow owner restoring a basket case posted to the PI forum recently with a photo of a mystery zipcord wire he was trying to identify.

It comes out of the stock harness near the fuse panel. Upon seeing his photo, I realized I found the same white zip cord when reassembling 2511, and it was the feed to the dome light.

Sure enough, armed with my information he was able to confirm that his car also used zip cord to feed the dome light. 

Anyone else come across this zip cord supply wire for the dome light in their car? His car and mine are both early 1972.
