[DeTomaso] Daytona Update

Sorry guys, We are done.
The Quaife started overheating on the second lap and I stopped on lap 6-7
when it started spewing tranny fluid out the overflow onto the rear
window.
We don't know enough to identify what changed between session 1 and session
2. Our temp markers (we don't have a tranny temp gauge) indicated it got
to 290 degrees during Tony's race, even though we have a huge cooler on it,
then sat and heat soaked for 5 hours. Something changed in that period.
The gearbox was immediately difficult to shift and the decided not to shift
at all.
Sorry guys, we hoped to do better. This is a bummer weekend.
We have a long trip home.
We are done, I will let you know more
Regards,
Steven G. Lisa, Esq.
