[DeTomaso] Not Pantera car question

I would check the supply line from tank.  After this many years, there 
may be something in there besides gas.
Next I would suspect the fuel pump.

You can fill the carb fuel bowl, then disconnect the inlet and run the 
engine on what's in the fuel bowl and watch/measure the output of the pump.

But if the filter before the pump is dry, I'd check the line from the 
tank, and the tank pickup.  It may be best to just bite the bullet, take 
the tank out, clean it and reassemble.
