[DeTomaso] Update from Portland Race

Just catching up with list emails, I would conduct a thorough bench test and check of the ZF, locking up in that manner puts a lot of stress on the input shaft and gears.

Jack,

I couldn't believe the mess that clutch made. It was a very impressive
amount of crap that got out of the view port. Most clutch explosions I
have seen involve more parts flinging about. I was also impressed with the
instantaneous lock and spin. We were lucky indeed -- 3 seconds earlier and
he would have spun on the straightaway at max speed and likely into the
wall.

We believe the engine is fine -- Tony was able to start it with the starter
in gear and then drove it back to the paddock locked in first gear. So, we
also believe the transaxle is fine. I am anxious to get it all out and
make sure it is fine.
