Just FYI,  FWIW there is at least 2 inches of length adjustment on the mounting studs.

I think I have an original somewhere and I remember a woven belt in the middle.

Like a tire belt.

Well....   I could have a few years ago since my Pantera did have an
original on it still.  As I recall (and note that my memory can be
fuzzy), the stock hanger had a longer center-to-center on the bolt holes
than that awful reproduction I used.

Mount it to the body then hold the muffler in place.  Does it "feel"
right?  Would if "feel" like you'd have to muscle it up if it were the
other hanger?

I'm almost sure someone here will have an original hanger and can
measure it for you.
