All,

The length is moderately irrelevant since the hangar mounting brackets are both adjustable. Set the muffler where it belongs, then adjust the mounts so the hangar just eases into place with neither compression nor tension. A quarter of an inch difference in ha far length is easily accommodated through adjustment.
