I knew, that will happen from the beginning. All TV-shows or classic car magazines always present the Pantera more or less as a looser. They will never do so with a Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc, because they fear, that they won't get any new model again to present. That's why i have given up since decades to talk to any of them. I would never give my Pantera for any money to one of these shows. Now every one knows, what a bad shit car Geoffs Pantera is.. Is it that what he really wanted? I gues not !

an all-aluminum 427 Windsor stroker could lose a lot and still feel
plenty fast.
When I drove it to Italy and back in 2009 it was always on the verge of
boiling over, but never did. Geoff deliberately fitted an undersized
radiator suited to a 4-cylinder car, to save weight! Really dumb idea.
It's barely adequate in cold England, and was right at the limit in
Italy. I finally just gave up looking at the temperature gauge as it
was always right at 230.
The car only weighs about 2500 pounds.

too! Either that or it has one of those stroker motors with the oil
rings intersecting the wrist pins and that is normal, either way not
sure it would be too healthy following it closely, even in a Renault!

You goofballs.
You manage to overlook the fact that the entire chase sequence was
scripted for comedic effect, and believe that the Pantera actually
overheated and broke down???
They used a smoke bomb!
The car ran like a top and put up with unbelievable amounts of abuse.
Only a fraction of the footage shot was actually used. The number of
sidestep burnouts, powerslides etc they did beggars belief, and the car
took it all like a champ.
When it got home it needed new rear tires, flywheel and clutch. Those
were totally (and deliberately) wrecked.
