Dear Dave,


                 Dan Jones is an engineer and a polymath about all things relating to the Cleveland engine.  You are referring to a well  known modification that has well known *advertised* benefits.   As Bud Hower said there really isn't any proof that it works.  I distinctly recall reading Dan's anecdotes about drag racers with  Cleveland engines that used this modification *without* any benefit.    

                  I would spend money on engine improvement elsewhere.

I was looking on ebay and there is a kit to direct oil from the front of the block near the oil pump to the back of the block to force feed 4 and 5 main and rod journals and adequately oil them. Has anybody performed this modification and does it work?
