Yup a vacuum leak. Spray the hoses with some WD40 to see if you hear a RPM
change. If this does not identify the location you can get it smoked,(no
were not in Colorado). It is a machine that pumps smoke into the motor and
hoses, when it is not running, to help you pinpoint the bad spot.

YouTube has videos on how to make a smoke machine (No not that kind again).
I have not made one yet, but it is on the project list.
