[DeTomaso] What says the 'Collective' about a 'Slugger'

I have to agree with the small difference in weight between the 2
motors. I bought the car with the 13B crapped out. The LS is warmed
over with intake, heads, throttle body, injectors and ECU programming
via LS1 Edit. It also has a 125 wet shot.
The LS1 will start from a stand still in 4th gear. The torque comes in
about 2000 rpm. It dynos at 375 rear wheel hp, 365 ftlbs and gets
27mpg on the road. It has suspension upgrades that drop the car about 1
and 1/2 inches, weighs about 2750 with the air and is fun to drive on
the road at any speed. Never dynoed it with the wet shot but you can
tell the difference. It is windowed from 3000 to 6100 rpm.

I do agree that the rotory engine is a very different and very
   interesting piece of equipment anyway.

What did he do with the rotary? You can get 800 hp out of a rotary with
the turbo and it weighs half of an LS. :-)

If he still had the 13b I'll take it off his hands. :-)
