Mike,
I currently have the original stock fans which are not up to the task to
even cool a tired 351. It almost pegs the needle in traffic though never
overheated before I pulled off to cool down. There are bleeders on the top
of the radiator and the intake manifold ensuring no air. I live in the
Florida heat and plan to rebuild/replace the engine to a much higher
standard. Upgrades are necessary as a piece of mind an investment in not
having to rebuild my motor or get stranded overheated.
The new fans are Spal 1650 CFM (x2). I do not mind the investment,
actually enjoy working/fabricating on my cars, but absolutely hate doing
things twice. Who has time for that? That is why I love you guys! Beers
for everybody

I currently have the original stock fans which are not up to the task
to even cool a tired 351.A It almost pegs the needle in traffic though
never overheated before I pulled off to cool down. There are bleeders
on the top of the radiator and the intake manifold ensuring no air. I
live in the Florida heat and plan to rebuild/replace the engine to a
much higher standard. Upgrades are necessary as a piece of mind an

is any more effective than the Hall Meriah pusher fans, which neatly
fit into the stock brackets.A Coupled with your stock replacement
Hall radiator, as long as the system is in proper working order
(i.e. all the air is bled out), they are more than adequate to allow
you to run at no more than 200 degrees or so in triple digit ambient
temperatures.A While you could perhaps do a bunch of work and spend
a bunch of money fitting some other kinds of fans, which might even
boast superior CFM performance, it's unlikely you'll see any
appreciable change in actual radiator cooling performance, so doing
so would just be a fashion exercise?
