>>>True--but many Pantera vendors have been selling things like this for
years, falsely claiming them to be a valid emergency brake.

A PCNC member wrecked his so-equipped Pantera just days after he bought it,
thanks to one of these. His insurance agent came to his house to inspect
the car to add it to his policy, and due to a lack of parking, he parked his
car in the street blocking the driveway. The baby was asleep so he pushed
the car out of the garage onto his sloped driveway (sitting inside it).
When he got to where he wanted to stop, he flipped the lever.

Naturally, nothing happened, the car kept rolling.

So then he jammed on the brake pedal, but of course, since he had flipped
the switch, nothing happened, and the car picked up speed.

WHAM!!!! It T-boned his shocked insurance agent's car, significantly
damaging both of them!!!

Fortunately, the agent got a good look at the Pantera as it came hurtling
towards his car, so he was able to attest that it WAS in good shape for a
nanosecond. He good-naturedly added it to the policy and took the claim
information at the same time!!!
