Dear Rob and Terry,

Interesting. I owed a 260Z modified with headers and side draft Webers and suspension mods. I then bought it a stable mate, a 280Z, for my dear wife. Both were sold on the road to Panteras. I saw a couple of Zs at Cars&Coffee Saturday.

                        Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

Wow! Small world. I had a 280Z and sold it for a Porsche. No fancy toilet paper oil filter tho. I got 256k
miles on mine and sold it for $500. Then bought a Porsche 944. When I bought the 280Z (1981) the guy had a beautiful Pantera but would not budge from the $25,000. price tag (1981), was way to much for me. That was in Philly. Loved that Porsche, moved to Sandy Eggo and rolled it (several times) down an embankment in Rosarito, Mexico. 4 beer story.

Dr Elachi, Director of JPL, still drives his green 240Z to work every day. He loves that car. It's kinda beat up and looks funny
parked in the "Director" parking spot.

My 240Z had a secondary filter mounted on the fender wall. The filter was a roll of toilet paper lengthwise with feed and drain on top. It was set up so oil pooled in it rather than drained when motor was off. That way your pan always read accurate. It did not reduce oil pressure that I could notice and slowly filtered all the oil better than a regular filter. Car had over 250k miles when I sold her for a Porsche.

Forgive my ignorance, but why two? Parallel or in series? In either case, what does this do to the pressure in the engine? All consequences understood?

Has anyone mounted dual remote oil filters upside down over the bellhousing before? I'm thinking about it. The idea of two big Orange FL-1 and some more AN fittings and more aeroquip hose....hmmmmm tasty looking.
I already have an oil cooler I would have to incorporate after filtering.
