[DeTomaso] Undercar fresh air intake (Re: New engine)

Hi Ken,
I probably could, but it wouldn't do anyone any good.
Although he still has the giant elephant ears mounted in the window
openings, they are essentially there for looks as he now runs an IR EFI
system with two air cleaners mounted directly to the stacks.
Prior to this, when he was still running a Holley carb, the big ears
had huge (what.... 3" or 4"?) tubing going from the big scoops to an
airbox on the carb. I don't think I have photos of those but let me
check.
Ah, here you go, air ducting prior to the fire:

The big ears had tubing going to a big air box. You'll also note the
fuel cell he used to run. Now he runs a normal tank in the stock
location.
And here is what he has now:

The photos on this page:
[8]http://teampanteraracing.com/index.php?option=com_g2bridge&view=gall
ery&Itemid=57&g2_itemId=2586
show you a stock undercar air intake snorkel, minus the flexible hose
that connected it all.
You'll see the undercar air pickup that would normally go to the square
inlet on the air cleaner, and I also show the hot air pickup on the
exhaust manifold that would normally go to the smaller round port on
the
underside of the air cleaner snorkel and be controlled by a vacuum
motor.
These are all original parts that were on my Pantera when I got it.
