[DeTomaso] 17-inch wheel back spacing

Optimal backspacing on what kind of Pantera?  Pre-L, L, Group 3, 4, 5,
GTS, GT5-S, Mangusta, Vallelunga?

Hello... more information needed please.... so lighten up.  :)

Here are some data points to ponder:

On a 1973 L model
17x8 with 5.25" backspace for front
18x9.5 with 6" backspace for rear

This page shows you how 17x9 with a 6" backspace measures up (note this
is rims only, no tires):

So what are these wheels going on?  A go-kart?  Pick any backspace you want.
