 Actually I know from a very good source that Santiago was told to hold those dates in hopes that he might once again attend the POCA Rally in San Diego. ?With that said, who knows why those dates were picked for their meet as one would think there wouldn't be the possible usual attending from the states if we're having our own fun.

I presume it didn't occur to them and planned it for the convenience 
of their friends and family.  I don't often think of my European 
counterparts when I plan an event so I don't consider it a slight if 
they do not consult for their events.  But... DeTomaso has a 
significant following in the US.  Collaborating would have been very 
thoughtful.
