[DeTomaso] control arm bushings, thick shoulder in or out???

Ken,

On my '71 Pantera the shoulders of the bushings are on the "outer" faces of the A-arms, but there is an "almost" equivalent amount of bushing extended through the tube on the "inside" so It should fit as you have noted.

If yours didn't fit properly the first time you may have received some bushings that have more rounded shoulders (I had purchased two sets and one was much more round-shouldered than the other) than the factory originals and WOULD NOT have fit in the correct orientation, as you discovered.

Now putting the front back together, the control arms fit with one fat shoulder out and one thin shoulder out, which is cool because I can install the bushings to slightly increase caster, but is that how it is suppose to be? The front control arm bushings would not slide into place with both fat shoulder out.
