[DeTomaso] control arm bushings, thick shoulder in or out???

I thought I had this figured out and the fatter shoulder was out on both bushings, and it fit that way in the rear.  Now putting the front back together, the control arms fit with one fat shoulder out and one thin shoulder out, which is cool because I can install the bushings to slightly increase caster, but is that how it is suppose to be?  The front control arm bushings would not slide into place with both fat shoulder out.
