[DeTomaso] A/C oil quantity???

All,

My new evaporator is now installed, new drier in place and ready to charge.

Looking for your thoughts on how much oil I need to add. I'm planning a 2 1/2 pound R-12 fill for the system.

It blew off the high side hose at the compressor returning from Monterey last year and
no doubt blew out a lot of oil. But how much???

I'm thinking of adding in the range of three to five ounces.  Your thoughts?
