You can experiment with your toilet float. :>)
Think of a pointer at the opposite end of the float--when the float goes
up, the pointer goes down. The further down the pointer goes, the higher the
gauge reads. If you bend the arm holding the float downwards, when the
float goes up to the same level it was before, the pointer will be pointing
further down, meaning the gauge will read higher. :>)
