[DeTomaso] Darn speedo cable

Thanks for the many replies regardnig the speedo cable. I've learned the
following, I think:

1) This is easier on a two-pod than a one-pod dash. This is why I don't
remember having any problems doing it on my old Pantera, but have been
unable to do it on this car

2) The trick is to pull the speedo by loosening the thumb nuts. Some say
loosening just enoguh to let the speedo rotate to line up properly with the
cable, others say to remove the speedo altogether. If I can pull the
speedometer completely out, then perhaps I'll install the 5w bulbs that Mike
Drew hand carried me in 2001 that I have never installed, and seeing my
experience, if I don't do it now, I'll never, ever do it!

So Charlie, this looks like a job you and Amaya can tackle together with no
problem! :>)

3) I should have insisted and done this at Spa, where I had adult
supervision. I would have finished much sooner, methinks.
