[DeTomaso] harness bar.

Check me on this but the purpose of that belt is to hold the waist belts in the proper position. If used properly, the anti-sub belt simply keeps the waist belts down over your hips which should prevent you from sliding under. Without it, the pressure on the shoulder belts as you move forward will pull up on the waist belts and allow you to slide under.

Perhpas wearing a cup and a six point strap would help those who were less cautious about proper belt use.

There was a post around 6 months ago where two guys driving in a Ralley car
the driver and navigator were wearing 5 point harnesses and they weren't
tight enough. The two guys were in excruciating pain and the ambulance
drivers couldn't understand why they were in so much pain. It turns out the
submarine belt was too loose and as the two guys slid forward the pressure
caused their testicles to pop through their scrotum's on either side of the
submarine belt. They had photographs . It was really gross! both guys had
their testicles squeezed out of their scrotum's and were hanging out by
their vasa deferentia.

Here it is I found it again. Department of Surgery Morriston Hospital.
"Scrotal Injury Following Restrained Impact:
 A Risk of Misnavigation"
Here is a link to the scientific journal and the photos. WARNING!!! This is
not for those with weak stomachs or children.
