I've not see a cross over tube on the exhaust of a Pantera...is there any

That may be one I built for a NY owner some years ago. Crossovers seem to drop 
exhaust noise by about 1 dB, but no real power increases. One owner used a long 
glasspak (with flanges) as the actual crossover connector in place of the straight 
pipe shown. Unless you don't  mind heating up the ZF by running pipes under it, the 
only place is behind the ZF (as shown) which is likely not ideal- pretty far away from
the collectors.
