I installed a crossover on my car years ago along with the Mind Train headers and mufflers. It seemed to pick up a little more power on the mid-range and it did take a very annoying crackling sound out of the exhaust. The only place to put this is under the back of the ZF unit and I have not seen any problem with heat.
