[DeTomaso] Oil leak was changing oil pan gasket

Go out and buy yourself a bunch of Gunk engine cleaner and brake cleaner.
 Spray it down and get all oil  removed.  Optionally, push it (don't crank
it) into a clean floor area with newspaper taped on the floor.  Let it sit a
while and look for obvious drops and look for seepage.  I'll bet you don't
find much until you crank it, but you might around valve covers for oil that
was still on the top end and you might find it dripping from your drain
plug.  Next, crank it and drive until it gets hot. If you have bad leaks,
they are easy to find.  Make sure you don't drive it so much that you spew
so much oil you can't find the source.  Pull carefully over the same
newspaper and let the car sit overnight (and cool down completely).  Leaks
should show up either on the paper, on the pan, or on the sides of the
engine.
