Justin,
Did you follow the installation instructions? You are supposed to drill
holes for both of the allen screws. The splines should prevent any lateral
slipage and if the shaft is drilled and the allen screws are set deep enough
there should be no move ment at all. If the allen screws are not deep enough
you could drill a deeper hole and replace the allen screw with a longer set
screw. Borgenson makes a clampable 36 spline in 3/4 and 9/16 is ours 3/4 or
9 /16ths?  Here is a link to the instructions for installing the u joint
