Dick,
I'd be interested in understanding the exact resource for this
position. I've been under the same belief and have tried in vein to
justify that position. What I have found is that the law allows the
director of the census to include additional questions as they deem
appropriate and they are still required by federal law to be answered.
I agree, even the "simple" census they are handing out this year gets
too personal and we have other laws on the books that should protect us
from having to answer all the personal questions.
But my biggest question is where is the source for you statement below?
