Bob,
You adjust the headlight buckets by placement of washers under the headlight
bucket. There are studs mounted to the bucket. These studs go through the
flat plate that they mount to on the bar that rotates to lift and lower the
buckets. The washers go on the studs between the headlight bucket and the
mounting plate. Some times you can see the rings in the primer
if the headlight buckets were painted before they were completely
disassembled. Then you can see where the washers were located. If not it's
hit and miss. You just have to adjust by moving the washers around to raise
or lower the different corners until you get the bucket aligned right. The
fenders were hand made . They were hammered on wooden forms. That's why the
headlight buckets are marked with the serial numbers of the car. It's a PIA
but you just have to be patient. Disconnect the power line to the head
light relay or the Pantera electronics controller until you know they are
adjusted right. Other wise they may go down and catch an edge and damage the
new paint. The wire that controls the headlight motor going up and down is
the fat orange wire in the the drivers side that goes to the relay (or the
Pantera electronics controller if you have it) Disconnect the wire and
adjust the headlight door manually until you are sure they are adjusted
properly or else you may get paint damage.
