[DeTomaso] cooling question

You will save yourself a great deal of time and aggravation if you remove
the front deck lid prior to trying to remove the radiator and reinstalling
it. Trying to lift that thing out and then position it for installation,
much less do all the hookups, with the lid in the way is a real PITA, and a
two-person job to avoid damage to the car or radiator.

You will need two to remove the lid and reinstall. Tape or trace around
where the hinges are located on the deck lid side before unbolting to
minimize the alignment when reinstalling, and just find a safe place to
stand it on it's edge while it's off.

It may be a small job for you, but the last time I tried to do anything in
the radiator department, namely adding a third fan, I succeeded in breaking
the radiator so that I had to replace it. That was about $600 as I recall,
and another hundred or so to have someone who knew what they were doing put
the new radiator back in.

I'm beginning to think someone is trying to tell me something about this
car...
