[DeTomaso] BBORR Engine photos

When my cam broke, it also broke the cam retainer. It proved to be one of the more difficult parts to locate. I even went to the Ford dealer. No dice.

There's one listed on Summit, but it has torrington bearings. I wanted the normal Ford part.

I finally found one from a 429/460 on ebay. They're the same.

I have 6 good Boss rods if you wnat one or two. Free to a good cause. They aren't polished like yours.

I know a good shop in the Fort Worth area for balancing engines. They did mine for about $150, if I recall correctly. You probably know a good one in SA.

Here's a weird one. I had a *bunch* of crap bouncing around in my engine. My oil pump looked good, though. It had flattened aluminum stuck to the rotors. I replaced it of course, but it looked like it would go 100K miles.

Here's a weirder one. With only 6 cylinders, that's about as close as you can get to driving a rear-engined Corvette.

Tow bolt heads took some hits but that left just small nicks in the rod itself. That's where I am so far. I'm mostly interested in what is salvagable at this time. Here are some photos.
