Asa,
 The best adhesive remover I've found is also a 3M product. Their part # 051135-08984 ( 1 qt can) will 
remove any type of adhesive I've ever run into including their yellow, nasty trim adhesive (often referred to
as "Gorilla Snot" by car restoration folks). I still am using a can of it that I bought years ago & wouldn't
be without it in my workshop. Good Luck.
