Yeah, I know, but even then I don't think those names are that much more recognized.  Plus, when it comes to
the Pantera, the vast majority were sold in the US.  That's where the primary market would be, and what matters
most.  It's why I think the Pantera Si and Guara sold as little as they did--no US certification, where the biggest
DeTomaso fans reside.

Remember that Mike said "in Europe". I bet that not many of those driving modern 300C's in Europe has any idea of what a 1957 300C is.
