With a lay-down system, you first need to mount the condenser, since its size
or thickness will determine what angle of lay-down you can use before things
run into the front upper hood-hinge plate. Since most vendors' lay-down 'kits'
simply use a pair of sheet metal straps between the rad mounts and the stock
Pantera body mounts, altering the angle of the rad+ condenser is only a matter
of drilling a couple of new holes in the straps at the distance you need.
Note that a lay-down rad does NOTHING for cooling beyond making the hose and
thermostat connections (if present) in back more easily reachable. Its also a good
idea to rig the fans so that the side with the condenser is separetely
controllable, since this is the fan that will be moving air thru the condenser when
your A/C is on and road speed is low. It can be done maually or automatically
depending on your wiring skills. Good luck- J Deryke
