In some cases if the cable is allowed
to pull too far the plates can get stuck
in the carb.... thus being wedged by
over opening.... this can be happen as
we are all jambing that pedal to the floor
with our big lead foot
 
You can check this with someone 
looking down the thoat of the carb
and see when you actually get full throttle
and if you have any more pulling power from
your cable... it can be adjusted back
