You are retired. Every day is a vacation. :->)

The Las Vegas altitude is 2,174 feet. Reno is 4,449 feet. I am sure there are a few people with respiratory problems, but the only one I know of lives in Minden, NV which is higher than Reno.

The shopping in Reno is so-so. Nothing fancy. There are theaters but they don't have the extravagant productions like the theaters in LV. In those areas, LV has the advantage.

I would not want to hazard a guess as to what are "lady things". Hopefully it is more than shopping. There are some drives with nice destinations and restaurants, pretty scenery, and theaters. You drove on the track last year, so I will add that to the list of lady things. Maybe that will entice Mad Dog to drive on the track.

Due to its downtown location, there are far more things you can get to by walking from Circus Circus in Reno than you can from the Orleans in LV. These include restaurants, theaters, other casinos, the Harrah's auto museum, the river, and the train station all within three blocks. For people without a car, Reno has the advantage.

All very good points on the location, Roland. Even though Reno is in our
backyard - or maybe because it is - I feel Vegas is the best location. To have
it moved to Reno would not be the vacation it always is and I know that there
will be many people that we normally see every year that will not go to Reno.
We have a few members who have respiratory problems and our high altitude
is very difficult for them.

Vegas definitely has more attractions of wide variety of members and also
gives the ladies things to do while the guys are busy with car things. Very few
things in Reno (like shopping) unless one has transportation and even then
the selection is very narrow. I'm not a shopper and even I know that! There
are just not a lot of things one can get to without a car.

If it should get moved to Reno and you change your mind, you will be most
welcome to come visit us and we'll give you REAL beer! :)
