[DeTomaso] Inspecting a pantera

Would it be better to get a guy from the Pantera community to inspect a car - or should I go with a auto appraisal company. If the first is to prefer - Do anyone know a willing/competent/unbiased person living somewhere right between Los Angeles and San Francisco?
