[DeTomaso] Techno question:Clutch&Slave II

Dear Larry and David and Forum,

                      There is no grinding.    Once warm and at freeway 
speeds, I cannot physically get the shift lever to make the right and up 
movement into fourth or down into fifth.   If I really finagle it, then it 
can go into "fifth", but it is actually third by rpm readings.   No 
grinding.   Reverse, First, Second and Third are reliably there but fourth 
and fifth *silently* disappear in a couple of miles.

                     Could it be....the shift linkage is out of wack?
