[DeTomaso] Minimum Battery Size?

Guys:
At the risk of proving myself to be a gearhead-geek, and exposing myself to
all as such (that's NOT a straight line Larry!), another possible battery
alternative is the dry cell made by Odyssey. They are very durable, have an
outstanding shelf life, can be installed in "unconventional" positions and
locations (back off Larry!), and they're almost comparable in price to the
"usual wet cell suspects". I have a P1200 model and it's 8" by 6.6" by 7"
high. It's weight is 38 pounds however, so that's not quite as nice as some
of the other battery options.
While I have the P1200 model, there are smaller models which may work for
you. I have what's been termed an "electric" Pantera, so I didn't skimp on
my reserve electrical power capacity.... but others, without all the little
amperage guzzling gizmos that I have, may very well get along quite
successfully with a smaller battery, something on the order of a P925 at 24
pounds, at 6.625" by 7.00" by 5.00" high.
The Summit Racing page for the P1200 is:

And when I say "durable", it really is. It can handle over-charging without
melt down (do NOT ask me Larry!), and very definitely deserves
consideration.
One piece of information regarding the Li-Polymer batteries. They blow up.
They can blow up if they are over charged. Sometimes by over voltage rather
than over amperage. But they can self destruct.... fire, lightning, and
other loud, expensive noises. All of which are something to be aware of...
