FWIW, keep this in mind.

In Switzerland, traffic fines aren't a fixed cash amoun for a certain type of 
infraction.   Instead, the fines are assigned by a judge, as a percentage of 
your annual income.   So the more you make, the more you pay.   Traffic 
cameras 'catch' you in the act of speeding, and you are automatically guilty.   
There is no appeals process or opportunity to fight the ticket.

This summer I was having lunch with a guy whose mother got a ticket for going 
15 mph over the speed limit on the freeway, and the resultant ticket was just 
a few dollars shy of $150,000.

Yes, they were rich, and obviously made a lot of money.   But paying $150,000 
for 15 mph over on the freeway still has to hurt!
