Chris
Didn't your guy put an 8350 MSD distributor on there? The "ready to run" as
they call it?

Chris,

Item #1 .... need to know what type of ignition system you have.
Points/coil? MSD ... what type dizzy and what type ignition box.

Item #2 .... charge your battery before you start the engine. The ammeter
should show a high reading for less than a minute while it makes for the
current required to start the engine and then settle down around zero. The
wiring in the Pantera charging circuit is scaled for the full scale current
of the ammeter ... 75 amps. If you have a 100 amp or greater alternator
and the battery is low, you could be running 100 amps or more thru the
wiring and the ammeter. This could be a problem if it goes on long enough
to charge a really low battery.
