[DeTomaso] kirk evans bulkhead kit

In the bulkhead reduction kit, a single belt goes on the outer dampener
groove. There is no adjustment you just take the 4 bolts off the WP pulley,
slip the belt on and press the pulley back on and there you go. I have been
running this since 2004 and drive 15-20K a year. No problems. The inner
dampener groove would normally serve the inner AC groove and the AC outer
would serve the ALT. You still use the normal Alt adjustment bracket to
tighten the belt. This bracket is under instead of over the alt. If the new
bracket he sent you lines up the Alt pulley with the Inner dampener groove,
then you may be able to use the AC tensioning pulley. My water pump belt is
a 15310. 15 is the width and 310 is the circumference in mm. If you need to
get a belt without knowing the part number, put a string around your pulleys
and then measure the length.

Okay.,..I am stumped.

I have no AC, Kirk sent me an adapter plate to move the ALT into the same
position as the AC would have been. He supplied one belt.

How am I to drive the water pump? The belt looks like it is just for the ALT
in its new home.

Does the old AC pulley get removed?

The ALT groove is lined up with the groove on the dampener closest to the
bock. There is no way the water pump can be driven.

I am about ready to just send it back. I have working on this for a week
now. Routing water lines cause the friggin ALT is in the way.

WTF? Anyone?
