Greetings!
Ran across this product being used to clean out a cooling system recently on TV.  Not a big advertisement, only a "we're gonna try it".......
This is by the same folks that make Evapo-Rust for dipping small bits and rusty tools in......of course can be used for big stuff to......
But this showed up as being something that perhaps I could use in my car with a slightly garped up 351C due to years of non-involvement maintenance by owners of the car.....! Ugh!
I get a lot of small particles circulating in my system, which a very crude filter screen in my heater line does catch......but it seems never ending, needing to remove and unclog.....   I would like to treat it once and for all......

I have used the Evapo-Rust product and hafta stand behind it as working miracles on otherwise rusty bits......with no work except to clean off a black residue after soaking for 24 hours or so.   Very clean part when you get done!    But you do need to coat it to prevent rust now....!   OF course pitted metal will still be pitted metal......nothing miraculous here....but you will have clean rust pits!!!
Recommendation is to drain coolants, flush with water, fill and add 1QT of this stuff and soak a day......but others are recommending that you drive around with it for a week circulating the liquid vs just sitting in one spot.    Don't need to remove T-stat then either!   Then drain and flush again!      What you drain will be ugly black mess.....rinse repeat.....with another quart?   I figure clothes hanger in the block drains to see how it worked.....if it didn't then reapply second quart......rinse....repeat......coathanger......if that fails, then it's likely an engine pull and boil......ugh!
Any comments on this system flush!
ThanksSteve

I was thinking of leaving the heater system out of this mess.......jumper heater out to heater in on the engine......with short piece of hose.......circulate away!!!!
