[DeTomaso] SPC - Chevron B16 Sold on BaT - Yellow Pantera SI in the background

The B16 has been in Fantasy Junction's inventory for a while now, I took a fleeting interest in it priced at $165k, and probable negotiable down to $160k if not $150k. The BaT sale at $181k + $5K buyer's premium reinforces the fact that for the most part BaT now commands inflated prices by bidders who clearly haven't done a lot of research and have deep pockets. I'm not saying the B16 wasn't worth the buy price, but clearly if the winner was in the market for one, he could have purchased it for 15-20% mark down on his BaT price. If you watch BaT frequently enough it's much the same group of commentors and buyers/sellers.

The Si sat in Fantasy Junction showroom for a while as well, priced at $350k, then went to Bonham's Quail auction August 2023 and was a no sale , if I recall correctly it was bid to $280k, but had not been duties paid in the US. After that it disappeared from the radar, so not sure if it's stayed in the US or was re-exported.

Thought this was kind of an interesting listing.  Was watching the video and
lo and behold (always wanted to use that . . . ), there is a yellow Pantera
SI next to it in the shop.
