George,

You asked what the best method was to remove air from our cooling systems. Some people want you to lift the car and lower the car, other people want you to buy the Lisle radiator funnel kit.

 I?ve been there and done all of that and I have moved on and strongly endorse a vacuum tool to purge and refill your cooling system.

You will need an air compressor, but you can easily pull a vacuum on your entire cooling system and then refill from a 5 gallon bucket of coolant. If you are unable to pull a vacuum, that means you need to tighten some hose clamps and check your system. That is much neater than trying to fix all the little leaks once you fill the system and it gets hot and starts dripping all over the garage floor. The vacuum purge and refill tool is disgustingly easy and effective.
