[DeTomaso] Pantera shift gate - what does the little “A” stand for next to the numbers

Scott,

Just as we use 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc in English, the Italians either use the letter A, or the round degrees symbol when abbreviating those words. If you go to a good online Italian-English dictionary and type in “2A” in Italian, it translates to “2nd” on the English side.
