[DeTomaso] U-joint lube question

Well, I pump until I see grease coming out all 4 bearings, then I know I have fresh grease int he fitting, not 7-year-old hardened crud. I clean up the old grease and around the joint.

As Mike had eluded to, they tend to spew grease everywhere with any excess grease, so just figure, a little can go a long ways, in more ways than one.

Should be standard fitting grease zerks, just one pump each to start.

           Chris,
Most U-joints come with grease fittings as standard. No harm in giving
them a shot of fresh grease. Just don't go too crazy or you will be
           cleaning flung grease for years!
