Loved that one too.

Some of the tests are pretty obvious - like HP differences between 408" Windsor vs. 408" Mopar with identical parts.

Most have unexpected results.  Like the HP differences with different fans, oil pans, header tube sizes, exhaust configs, heated intake vs. cooled, carburetor sizes, cross-ram vs. tunnel-ram, etc.

It's not one of those shows where they do stupid things just for the hell of it.  They're testing things most of have considered at one time or another.

Another of my favorites is mechanical fuel pumps.  They test a tiny pump with 20 feet of 5/16" line on the suction side, all the way up to a big  race style pump.  It's surprising how well the smaller pumps do.
