Oil Level / Oil Pan / Dipstick
>From the past, FWIW: I found measurements from 3400 dipstick tube ridge to full mark etc. And stick has the yellow paint ( indicating TSB revision was made ).

I plan on pulling another from one of my cars. I have one that I know is factory, as I bought it new. My Pantera tube checks out per the Mike Drew 26" down to the top of the ridge ( using the Drew tape method over the outside of curve ) and 11 5/32" from bottom of ridge to the full mark on stick ( neither of these match the Larry Finch information ). The stick is yellow painted and 38" from lower side of cup to tip. If I put an O'ring on the tube below the ridge ( 1/8" thick -- and figure1/16" pan gasket ) my Pantera full mark is equal to 4.5 qts in my D7AZ-6675-BA OEM oil pan ( standard Torino 5qt pan ). It is 7/32 below the top surface of my Pantera pan baffle ----- 9 qts puts oil level 5/16 above the top surface of the baffle ( maker of my pan is unknown to me ).  Where to have the static oil level is a mystery to me at this point --- as I don't know how to figure the amount of oil that will always be in engine, filter etc at speed. I believe that 5/16 below top of baffle would be good and possibly the 9 qt level would drop ~1/2 inch to there when running. Bud #3400

   Asa,

I do have a DOAE-6750-A stick and tube -- it has full level lower than
my Pantera set-up buy 9/16". I plan on pulling another from one of my
cars. I have one that I know is factory, as I bought it new. My Pantera
tube checks out per the Mike Drew 26" down to the top of the ridge (
using the Drew tape method over the outside of curve ) and 11 5/32"
from bottom of ridge to the full mark on stick ( neither of these match
the Larry Finch information ). The stick is yellow painted and 38" from
lower side of cup to tip. If I put an O'ring on the tube below the
ridge ( 1/8" thick -- and figure1/16" pan gasket ) my Pantera full mark
is equal to 4.5 qts in my D7AZ-6675-BA OEM oil pan ( standard Torino
5qt pan ). It is 7/32 below the top surface of my Pantera pan baffle
----- 9 qts puts oil level 5/16 above the top surface of the baffle (
maker of my pan is unknown to me ).

Where to have the static oil level is a mystery to me at this point ---
as I don't know how to figure the amount of oil that will always be in

baffle would be good and possibly the 9 qt level would drop ~1/2 inch
   to there when running.
